Student Council Plans and Other Events
On Monday, January 11th, I interviewed Kensington's climate manager, Mr. Benson. He brought to my attention that students use too much foul language in school. However, student government has a plan to lower the problem. They will have daily announcements and will encourage teachers to confront students more. They are also planning on recruiting more student leaders to correct classmates.
Student council is not only planning on refining the school. They are also planning fun events such as a Spirit Week which will take place the week of January 19th. Make sure to check out the dates in our Home page. Spirit week will only cost 3.00 dollars. That will cover events for the whole week.
Spirit Week Might Consist of:
Twin Tuesday
Wacky Wednesday
Throwback Thursday
Dress Down Friday
Also, Student Council is planning a Prep Rally that will take place on January, Friday the 22nd. That day will also be a dress down day.
There will also be a Valentines Day Dance on Friday, February 12th. Make sure to dress appropriately or get yelled at. Positive students and up will be able to bring one guest. See you all there, ~D.D.
